Because the game devs seem to think that the games that have been released so far take place in A YEAR, I need to put this down somewhere. Because that is not the time line I have for Ginko. The idea that all that happened in a year is absolutely wild.

1562 - Ginko is found in a nest of tigers in the land of Yanxia, being taken care of by them. After being rescued, he is taken in by his parents, a same sex Lupin couple. His fathers as well as the village assume he is some kind of Miqo'te/Roegadyn crossbreed for several years before a passing merchant corrects their assumptions.

1572 - the Calamity happens. Ginko is in Yanxia still, living with his parents; they are virtually unaffected by the Calamity. Ginko is 13.

1577 - The start of ARR. Ginko makes his way to Limsa Lominsa; he is 18. He is here to seek his fortune and possibly find any news of his people or even his birth parents.

He intends to work as an Adventurer, but after almost a year of integrating himself into this new way of life he manages to attract the attention of the great and powerful and thus his life is forever changed.

During this time he thwarts several plots by the Garleans as well as foiling many Primal summonings by the fringe societies that exist on the edges of Eorzea.

1580 - Heavensward start. Ginko is 21. He is on the run from being framed for murdering the Sultana. Many things happen during this period but the main thing to take away from it is that he made peace with the dragons, ended a century-long war, revealed several heretic plots and even the truth behind the war, and killed the elf pope.

1582 - Stormblood. Ginko is 23. The Scions have just lost a dear friend, and now they have to drive war away from more lands--specifically, Ala Mhigo as well as Yanxia. Ginko takes the time to visit his village and check in on his parents while he's there, but he does spend most of his time hanging out with the king and killing ancient Yanxian legends. His life is so damn weird.

1584 - Shadowbringers. Ginko is 25. Travelling to a new universe is different, but at least he knows his friends are okay. Everything is happening so much, he's forced to fight several beings corrupted by light, and Emet-selch is a jerk.

By the end of this arc, his dark-green stripes have become a more mint-green color, a permanent bleach job.

1587 - Endwalker. Ginko is 28. The world is ending and if his hair wasn't already white at birth it would be enough to give him grey hairs. He visits the end of the universe, loses all his friends, gains them back, nearly dies (thanks Zenos), and manages to walk away with a new collection of scars.

Name: Ginko Biloba
Occupation: Adventurer, Warrior of Light

Personality: Ginko is somewhat shy by nature and if he had a choice he would rather be alone in the middle of the wilderness somewhere. Alas, that was not his fate. From necessity he has learned how to deal with people and he's not terrible at it. He's still a quiet man, but he's always ready with a smile (hopefully it doesn't scare off his audience) or a kindly word. He tries to look for hope in the darkest of times, as experience has taught him that holding on to hope when that's all you've got? Sometimes that saves the world.

Appearance: Ginko is an almost seven foot tall bipedal tiger/lion. He has two prominent scars over his muzzle, and two of his fangs protrude out of his mouth. He has a variety of scars covering his arms, torso, and legs, most of which are normally covered by his clothing. The vast majority of these are scars from blades or other cutting weapons. His hair and body fur (covering his shoulders and back, the backs of his lower arms, and his calves as well as his tail) is pure white and the green stripes are natural. They used to be a much darker almost-black before a game event happened. He is blind in his left eye and usually wears an eye patch over it, but if he leaves it off it is a muddy brown color. His right eye is bright teal-green. His tail has a little black tuft on the end.

Abilities:
-The Echo: The way I play this is nothing like is shown in-game. It does afford him some protection against evil forces trying to influence his mind, but the main thing I intend to use it for is letting him pick up any weapon and be able to use it. Will he use it well/as the weapon is intended to be used? Maybe a 50/50 chance of that. But he'll be able to use it without hitting anything but his intended target.
He will not be able to peep into people's histories with it whatsoever.
-Weaponskills: like I said, he will be able to use anything, but he is best at melee weapons and physical ranged (bow and arrow, gun, chakram). Magical is... so-so. His magical healing is so poor he has been asked to stop volunteering in the medical tents.
Hammerspace?: Maybe his backpack just has a lot of pockets. His weapons are physical anyway, and he's only bringing two.
-Practical skills: he can sew, leather craft, and metal craft well enough to repair his own clothes if he has to. Not that he's skilled enough to make the best armor himself, but that's what raiding is for, right? He can gather and fish well enough to live off the land, and he can cook over a campfire without poisoning himself. There are many other little tricks he's picked up over the years, both as an Adventurer and a soldier fighting in a seemingly endless war, I will edit this if I think of anything relevant.

History: I was thinking of making a timeline for this actually, but in brief...
Ginko grew up in Doma, an orphan with no name or history. He was taken in by a Lupin couple with no children of their own, and his fathers gave him his first name. He chose his last name from a book of Alligan tree classifications after he found his name written there. When he hit his majority, he was given an old axe the village boat maker could no longer use, and struck out to make his fortune in Eorzea.
He attracted the attention of the great and powerful and has battled gods (false and true), monsters, corrupt officials, and an untold amount of grumpy wildlife ever since.

Why he's on this spaceship: He's... tired. He's so tired, you guys. He's tired of people dying all around him while he's forced to walk on. He's tired of fighting... well maybe not that. But he is definitely tired of everyone looking to him for answers. Tired of the weight of the entire universe resting on his shoulders. He needs a break--preferably with people who have no idea who he is.

Likes: his friends (just because he needs a break doesn't mean he won't miss them terribly), training, the good snacks Tataru keeps just for him. Being alone in the wilderness. His chocobo.

Dislikes: giant toads, Zenos
